Sources and References

Each technical instruction should be traceable to a source or clearly labeled as an editorial check. This page explains the source hierarchy behind CoffeeFixGuide’s model-specific guides.

Primary references

  1. Exact model documentation: the instruction manual, model code, revision and regional version for the machine in question.
  2. Manufacturer support: current maintenance instructions, error messages, service bulletins released to owners, filter instructions and parts compatibility listings.
  3. Other technical material: reliable engineering or water-quality references when the manufacturer does not define a general unit or concept. We state when a check is an inference rather than an official instruction.

Selected manufacturer resources

For water hardness units we use USGS water-hardness guidance. Brand links identify documentation, not endorsements.

How we use visuals and citations

A guide links the relevant manual near model-specific procedures where possible. Original diagnostic diagrams should show what to inspect and in which order. We do not reproduce manufacturer exploded views or protected images without permission; a reference link does not grant image rights. When compatibility or a procedure cannot be verified, we state the uncertainty rather than treating a similar model as equivalent.

For a practical example, open the Barista Express grinder diagnostic guide, then compare its steps with the linked manual. Read how we diagnose and the Editorial Policy.
