Saeco Troubleshooting & Repair Guides

All coffee machine brands

Saeco Xelsis is a family of automatic espresso machines, not a single identical control panel. Model codes such as SM7684 and older HD or RI variants lead to different manuals and menus. Find your code on the machine label before copying a cleaning sequence or ordering a part.

Start with the correct Xelsis version

Our Xelsis model page explains the basic checks and shows the guides currently available on CoffeeFixGuide. For your exact model, Philips provides a Xelsis support page with manuals and troubleshooting topics. Use the code on your unit to locate the corresponding support page when it differs from SM7684/04.

Choose the symptom on your Xelsis

  • No coffee from the spouts: use the Xelsis no-coffee guide to compare hot-water flow, tank and filter seating, and the removable coffee path.
  • Error 01 on the display: use the Error 01 coffee-funnel guide only after confirming the complete code. Other codes need their own manual instructions.

Safe first checks

If the machine does not brew, verify that the water tank is seated and the drip tray and brew-group door are closed. Record the full on-screen message before resetting anything. For cleaning, follow the built-in menu and the matching manual; do not pull a brew group while the mechanism is moving. Learn how our independent guides are prepared.

Cleaning and descaling guides

Choose Xelsis brew-group cleaning for removable-unit care or Xelsis SM768x descaling for the scale-removal program. Check the model scope in each guide before starting.
